Ryzen 3000 maintains its July 7 release date

AMD's third-generation Ryzen processors were rumored to open for presale today, but they won't.

AMD in a statement to TechPowerUp confirmed that there will be no pre-sale for retailers today, and there is no information of any date for such pre-orders. Customers will probably have to wait until the 7th to be able to get any of these chips at their neighborhood store, or order one online. AMD's statement in German translates as follows:

"We have not announced any presale plans - the global launch is 7/7."

AMD will launch five processor models in July, including the Ryzen 9 3900X 12-core / 24-wire, the Ryzen 7 3800X and 3700X 8-core / 16-wire, and the Ryzen 5 3600X and 3600 6-core / 12-wire.

Prices with respect to the products of previous generations remain stable whenever possible. The 3700X is being launched at the same price as the 2700X ($ 329.99), the 3600X at a slightly higher price of $ 249.99 compared to $ 239.99 for the 2600X; and the 3600 aspires to be king in the $ 200 range at the same price as the 2, 600.

On the side of the 3800X, this is being launched as an 8-core Premium option for $ 399.99, and the 3900X can be yours for $ 499.99. We expect most online retailers to raise these prices by 5-10% as they normally do.
