We continue our collaboration with Noontec who has sent us their latest headphones, the Noontec Hammo Wireless that promise to maintain all the benefits of the models that we have previously analyzed. These new Noontec Hammo Wireless are presented as professional headphones of the highest quality that will delight music lovers. They can also be used both wired and wirelessly for maximum comfort.

Unboxing and design

The presentation of the Noontec Hammo Wireless continues with the trend of the brand that we have seen previously in its products, the helmets come inside a white box in which we see a great image of the helmets on the front and we are notified of the high quality of your professional grade speakers. On the back we have its most important specifications in several languages.

We open the box and find a pretty attractive case and a fairly long 3.5mm mini jack cable. The case has a zipper for its closure and will allow us to store the helmets so that they are kept in perfect condition when we are not using them.

When opening the case we realize that inside it there are several more accessories, a 3.5 mm shorter jack cable, the USB cable to charge the battery of the helmets and an adapter to 6.35 mm jack.

Finally we look at the Noontec Hammo Wireless, these helmets have a design almost traced to the Hammo TV that we analyzed about a year ago except that they come in a grayish color against the black of the mentioned model. Like all Noontec helmets they have a foldable design that is ideal for taking up less space when we are not using them.

The Noontec Hammo Wireless are manufactured with a plastic body almost entirely, this is not a negative thing since it is a very good quality plastic and it is a very light material so the final weight of the helmets is less than if it were I would have opted for a design with more metal. The joint areas are made of metal to achieve greater durability. The headband has padding on the inside to improve wearing comfort, it is quite soft padding although it is not very dense and we believe that it is a point to improve for the future, since all the models we have tested have this same padding in this area.

The internal cushions if they have a much more abundant padding than what we find in the headband, it is a very soft padding that will make these headphones very comfortable to use during long sessions. Its size will also allow a good closing pressure that isolates us from the outside but does not become annoying during use. As for the speakers mounted on these Noontec Hammo Wireless, these are the Votrik HD500 50mm that have been designed by Noontec to offer the highest quality, Noontec promises a frequency response of up to 26kHz that goes beyond 20kHz. Most headphones on the market but only the thinnest ears will notice a difference.

These Votrik HD500 have been optimized to offer a very crystalline, precise and neutral sound, remember that they are not helmets oriented to video games so it is expected that they do not have bass as marked as they usually have models for players, in exchange we will have a more natural sound when listening to music or watching movies, scenarios in which gaming headsets sound unnatural many times precisely because of abusing the bass.

The left earpiece has been chosen to install the control knobs and the 3.5 mm jack connector in case we want to use them wired. We have a button to turn the headphones on and off and two buttons for volume, simple but effective.

One of the strengths of these Votrik HD500 Noontec Hammo Wireless is the ability to use them both wirelessly and wired. The wired connection offers the best sound quality and the lowest latency, although wireless connections are getting better and there is hardly any difference. First of all we have bluetooth 4.1 with the aptX codec, this technology compresses the data with little loss of quality so that the bandwidth of this connection is not a problem. They also have NFC for use with a compatible smartphone.

I confess that my expectations in the Noontec Hammo Wireless were very high because all the products that I have tried from this manufacturer have seemed excellent to me. As soon as you start using them you realize the enormous quality of sound they offer, it is a very crystalline and balanced sound that differs from that offered by gamer headphones, here you do not seek to enhance the bass as far as the treble and the mids have. much more prominence. This makes them ideal headphones to enjoy music in high quality formats, obviously with a 128 Kbps mp3 you will be missing the potential of these headphones so it is better to go to formats like FLAC that offer much higher quality.

As for the sound quality, the difference between using them with bluetooth or wired is quite small although it exists, anyway nobody can say that the sound quality is low if we use them wirelessly, much less, I dare say that many users will not even notice such a subtle difference thanks to the aptX codec.

Noontec Hammo Wireless include a rechargeable battery that promises 50 hours of autonomy, I have not calculated the exact hours but surely I have been using them for more than 30 and they still seem to be far from exhausting. Finally we talk about comfort, its pads are excellent so that the use of helmets does not become heavy in long sessions, the only point that can be improved is the padding of the headband as we mentioned before.
