The upcoming EVGA Z390 DARK is designed from the ground up to be the world's best overclocking motherboard. EVGA brags about it and gives enough reason to believe it.
New world record in Cinebench under 8-core processor
The EVGA Z390 DARK motherboard was recently used by Finnish Overclocker Juhani Luumi aka LUUMI to set a new world record with an 8-core CPU at Cinebench. Armed with an Intel Core i9-9900K under liquid nitrogen and an EVGA Z390 DARK motherboard, LUUMI was able to reach almost 7 GHz. At this frequency, the processor got about 3142 cb. This is a new world record for an 8-core CPU at Cinebench.
EVGA Z390 DARK is one of the most advanced Intel Z390 based motherboards in the world. It is designed for ultra performance enthusiasts looking to get the most out of their new 9th Gen Intel 8-core CPUs.
EVGA Z390 DARK highlights
The Z390 DARK features a 17-phase VRM design, along with two right-angle 8-pin connectors to provide maximum power for overclocking. Two SMT DIMMs allow for high-frequency overclocking and low latency of RAM. The 10-layer printed circuit board is studded with multiple sensors, which can be viewed on dual-LED displays. The board also contains Creative audio with EVGA NU Audio, two Intel Gigabit NICs, mini-Display Port, integrated Power / Reset / CMOS buttons, triple BIOS support, and 8 smart fan heads.
Finally, EVGA has paid special attention to the BIOS, which features EVGA's new UEFI / BIOS GUI that focuses on overclocking and functionality with new features like OC Robot and In-BIOS Stress Testing.
We still don't know when this motherboard will finally launch and at what price.
