New details of the nvidia gm200 chip
Finally, the first images of the Nvidia GM200-400 chip, better known as Big Maxwell and that will give life to the new GeForce GTX TITAN, have been leaked, it is not yet known exactly what the card will be called.
The chip has been photographed alongside an engineering board (180-1G600-1102-A04) mounting a total of 24 Hynix H5GQ4H24MFR memory chips for a total of 12 GB of VRAM at a frequency of 7 GHz, the same amount as in its day leaked from the Quadro M6000. You can also see the video outputs on the board, containing three DisplayPort and HDMI 2.0 and the absence of a DVI connection. The Big Maxwell will probably have the same configuration as the GTX 980.
The GM200-400 GPU is quite possibly the fully functional version of the Big Maxwell totaling 3072 CUDA Cores at a frequency of 988 MHz. The chip is expected to arrive alongside the new GeForce TITAN next February.
