New details of the mediatek helio x30
Table of contents:
We have a new leak on the MediaTek Helio X30, the new processor of the Chinese giant that seeks to put a face once and for all on the best chips on the market among which we can find the Qualcomm, Exynos and Kirin. If the new data is confirmed there is no doubt that the MediaTek Helio X30 is going to be really very powerful.
MediaTek Helio X30 with Artemis cores for the assault on the high-end
The MediaTek Helio X30 maintains a ten-core configuration divided into three clusters, for better optimization of power consumption. We found a first high-performance cluster consisting of two Artemis cores at a frequency of 2.8 GHz, a Cortex A53 quad-core cluster at 2.2 GHz and a third Cortex A35 quad-core cluster at 2 GHz.
The Artemis cores arrive to succeed the Cortex A72 and seek to compete with the Qualcomm Kryo and the Samsung Mongoose for which they aim very high. On the other hand, the Cortex A35 are characterized by extremely high energy efficiency and 40% higher performance than the Cortex A7.
The set is garnished with a powerful quad-core PowerVR 7XT GPU, support for cameras up to 26 MP, VR and LTE Cat.13 connectivity. The MediaTek Helio X30 would be manufactured by TSMC in its process at 10nm FinFET for 2x energy efficiency compared to Helio X20.
