Nvidia ampere ga103 and ga104 the next rtx 3070 and rtx 3080?

The news about Nvidia Ampere does not stop amid so much uncertainty about the next range of GPUs from the green giant. This rumor has spread throughout the network thanks to the tweet that user " KittyCorgi " shared on two graphics cards called Ampere GA103 and GA 104. Given their specifications, it seems that both would represent the next " RTX 3080 " and " RTX 3070 ". Let's see what these supposed high-end components have in store for us.

Nvidia Ampere GA103 and GA104, up to 20 GB of memory

On the one hand, the GA103 would equip 60 Stream processors, while the GA104 would carry 48. What does not fit us are the names because Nvidia does not usually use unequal numbers in the high range. In this way, we understand that the GA104 would represent the RTX 3070 and the GA103 would be the RTX 3080. Before Turing landed, the TU104 (RTX 2080) and TU106 (RTX 2070) were filtered.

On the other hand, these rumors also point to the RTX 3080 having a 320-bit bus that would allow it to reach 10 or 20 GB of memory. It is not very common to see this data on Nvidia, so we do not trust much of this specific information, but who knows?

We must start from the fact that Nvidia has never confirmed that Ampere is the next architecture in the Geforce GPU range to come. We only know that the next architecture could be called " Hopper ", which adds more uncertainty to the matter.
