Long rumored but getting closer to reaching the market, the new Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 Ti graphics card has been confirmed by its specifications that place it very close to what is offered by the GeForce GTX 1080, until not long ago the top of the range of the company.

The GeForce GTX 1070 Ti bases its configuration on an advanced and highly efficient Pascal GP104 core consisting of a total of 2432 CUDA Cores, 152 TMUs and 64 ROPs operating at Base / Turbo frequencies of 1607/1683 MHz. In this sense, it hardly differs from the GeForce GTX 1080, which has 2560 CUDA Cores, so the potential of both is almost identical.

As for the memory if we find a difference since the 8 GB of the GeForce GTX 1080 are maintained but it is the lower GDDR5 with a speed of 9000 MHz and a 256-bit interface. This should cause the performance of both cards to drift as resolution increases, though at 1080p there shouldn't be too much of a gap so the GeForce GTX 1070 Ti could be ideal for playing 1080p 144Hz monitors without having to sell a kidney.

The TDP would remain at 180W so we are talking about a very efficient card, much more than the Radeon RX Vega 56 that has a 210W TDP and should not be able to shade it in performance.
