Nvidia has released geql 417.71 whql drivers with freesync support
Table of contents:
Nvidia has just released the latest update to its GeForce drivers in version 417.17 WHQL which add both support for the new RTX 2060 graphics card and compatibility with AMD and VESA's FreeSync dynamic refresh standard, as the brand promised already. a few weeks.
Support added for Nvidia RTX 2060 and AMD's VESA FreeSync standard
Finally we have available the new version of Nvidia brand drivers that adds these two main innovations. The new version 417.71 WHQL gives us the opportunity to finally activate Nvidia's compatibility with FreeSync for those monitors that implement the VESA standard. This will be possible for both the Turing and Pascal range of graphics cards.
The brand has a repository of monitors that will be updated where those that obtain complete compatibility tested by the brand itself are displayed. This does not remove the possibility that we ourselves activate the corresponding option manually in the software for our own monitor. The only limitation we have for now, will be that this function can only be executed for individual monitors, but Nvidia has to extend this compatibility also for multi-screen.
If you enter the drivers download website, you will already have these new drivers available for download on all versions of Nvidia GeForce GTX and RTX.
Of course if we prefer, we can also do the update from the GeForce Experience software.
Next, we are going to put the main news that appear in the release note of these new drivers:
