Nvidia loses patent war with samsung
Nvidia and Samsung are in the middle of a patent war, a confrontation that the Greens are not doing very well on. Nvidia faces a possible impediment to selling some of its products in the United States.
The United States International Trade Commission (US-ITC) has stated that greens violate at least three Samsung patents on SoCs. Fortunately for greens, one of the patents expires in 2016, so the problems related to this would be very brief.
It remains to be seen how the matter unfolds with the two remaining patents and if the GPU giant finally sees the sale of its products restricted in the American continent. Nvidia has already shown its discontent while Samsung has not spoken.
