NVIDIA has just released the latest version of its GeForce driver package which, as always, prepares our graphics cards for new releases in video games and fixes the various errors that may arise. GeForce 417.01 WHQL aims to welcome Darksiders III.

GeForce 417.01 WHQL offers Darksiders III compatibility and optimization

Version 417.01 of the WHQL drivers comes with game-ready optimization "Darksiders III. Controllers also add SLI profiles for Valve's controversial game, "Artifact."

As for the issues resolved in these drivers, update rates above 30Hz are included which are not applicable to certain 4K Ultra HD monitors (as long as hardware requirements like DisplayPort HBR2 or HDMI 2.0 or higher are met). Drivers also fix a problem with Frame Rate Limiter 2 that didn't work in some cases. The "Event ID 14" error message when CSM is disabled in the UEFI configuration program is also covered. G-Sync was not disabled after exiting a game, and incomplete Ansel images that appeared when resolution is 30X or higher.
