Nvidia cautions that if we don't install the new drivers, this can lead to "local code execution, denial of service, or privilege escalation."

Each of the security flaws has been assigned a threat score based on how dangerous they can be. We have a relatively low 5.2 bug for CVE-2019-5687, which can allow an attacker to extract information, down to 8.8 for CVE-2019-5683, a flaw that could allow an attacker to execute code on our system, a denial of service, or an escalation of privileges.

In total, three of these vulnerabilities are classified as high severity, while two are medium severity. You can see it yourselves in the table above.

The affected graphics cards include GeForce, Quadro and Tesla, with additional security updates for Quadro and Tesla users in the weeks of August 12 and 19. If you just bought a regular GeForce graphics card, the process is quite simple: just download the latest Nvidia GeForce 431.60 graphics card driver and you will be protected.

As always, you can upgrade to the latest GPU driver through your GeForce Experience current installation, or you can download it directly from here.
