PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) currently offers two maps, the Erangel offering a forest-filled field, and Miramar, leaving players in a comparatively arid desert. This last map is not very popular, which has led developers to update it deeply.

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds renews Miramar in an attempt to make it more popular

Most of Miramar acts as a vast wasteland, with minimal hiding places and few weapons generation, so it is understandable why many players avoid this map, preferring Erangel, which was the original map of the game. This situation has led PUBG Corp to return to work and update its Miramar map, hoping to improve the gameplay offered to players.

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds test servers already contain a revamped version of the Miramar map, with more roads to connect areas, an Oasis area in the northern section, and a new village called Alcantara in the northwest.

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds has also added optimized builds to both maps to help achieve better game performance, primarily on PC. Lastly, blue zone movement speed, delay time and damage have been updated to offer players a better experience.
