First look at project neon and people bar in windows 10 build 16184

As everyone who has closely followed the Windows Insider program will already know, Windows 10 Redstone 3 Build 16184 is not the first build available in the fast ring after the Creators Update, but this is the build where we have finally started to see the first functions that fans of the operating system have requested.

At first glance, it seems that everything remains the same as in the Creators Update, but if you look closely at the video you will notice that Microsoft has already started testing different design styles in various applications. The well-known " Neon Project " is one of those styles, as some applications such as Groove or Paint 3D show a kind of glass panels that are shown as shadows in relief on their interfaces.

The developers have long ago received access to the tools necessary to modify this effect in applications, but only now have the first results begun to be seen in build 16184 of Windows 10 Redstone. Although transparency no longer seems as modern as it once was, Microsoft is doing a good job of revamping the look of its operating system.

On the other hand, the same build 16184 for PC also provides another interesting experience called My People, which is a very simple concept and similar to Android "chat heads".

The My People space is a place where you can have online conversations while you are working on another application. There are several services that you can use to send messages to your contacts, including email or Skype. On the other hand, the people who appear in the list are precisely your Outlook contacts, and you will have the possibility to see their profiles and add several of them to the taskbar.

With all these new features, some issues have also come in, as it's still a development release that requires more optimizations, but it's still a good start for Redstone 3.
