Qnap officially presents hybridmount

Today launched the official HybridMount File-Based Cloud Gateway application, which integrates multiple public cloud services and helps companies easily implement a cost-effective, flexible and secure hybrid cloud storage environment. The official version of HybridMount unveiled incorporates the "Transfer Resource" feature, which significantly improves the efficiency of cloud access, allowing users to flexibly allocate NAS processor resources and data transfer bandwidth.

The HybridMount file-based cloud gateway gives NAS users access to cloud storage with standard protocols. By enabling local caching on the NAS, users can access cloud storage at speeds similar to those of a LAN.

Users can also take advantage of QTS 'versatile features, such as file management, editing, and multimedia applications, for cloud storage connected to the NAS. On the other hand, users can also use the remote mount service to mount cloud space or remote storage with HybridMount and access data centrally through File Station. HybridMount supports 22 cloud storages (including file storage and object storage). After the release of the beta version of HybridMount, there have been more than 100, 000 downloads.

Businesses and organizations can use HybridMount on their NAS in different locations and assign those NAS to the same cloud storage for file synchronization, ensuring they always have the latest file versions. By enabling local caching, HybridMount caches recently accessed cloud data in the NAS cache. This greatly reduces network usage costs, eliminating the need for each user to download a copy of a shared file, while optimizing data access for increased productivity.
