Radeon rx 480 shown in early gaming benchmarks
Table of contents:
As of today, few details remain to be known about the AMD Radeon RX 480 graphics card except its real performance in video games, which is estimated to be on par with the last generation GeForce GTX 980 and based on the Maxwell architecture at 28 nm.
AMD Radeon RX 480 is finally shown in real games like The Witcher 3, Overwatch and GTA V
Thanks to the leak of a GPU-Z capture we confirm all the characteristics of the Radeon RX 480 that we have seen so far. The card is based on an efficient Polaris 10 Ellesmere GPU with a total of 2304 Stream Processors, 144 TMUs and 32 ROPs that operate at a maximum frequency in its reference model of 1, 266 MHz. This GPU is accompanied by 4GB / 8GB of GDDR5 memory with a 256- bit interface and a bandwidth of 256GB / s.
Now the interesting thing begins and is that we can finally see the Radeon RX 480 in a real gaming environment. First of all we see it running alongside a Core i5 6400 processor in the game The Witcher 3 which runs at 1920 x 1080 pixels in high and ultra settings at a speed of 60 fps. A very good performance for a card with a price well below 300 euros and that will improve even more with the arrival of new, more optimized drivers.
Now we move on to Overwatch and GTA V games, the first of them works at 100 fps stable while the second moves between 45 fps and 60 fps depending on the situation and the graphic load on the screen.

We remind you that the AMD Polaris NDA ends on June 29 at 3:00 p.m. in Spain, so there is little left to see the first reviews of the main media. The new AMD card aims very high and could be the undisputed queen for its excellent price / performance ratio.
