Unboxing and design

The Raijintek Leto heatsink is presented in a small cardboard box and with a very colorful design, the most remarkable thing is a great photo of the heatsink on the front so that we can see its details perfectly.

Once we open the box we find the following bundle:

All this is very well protected by foam pieces to prevent it from moving during transport, the objective is that it reaches the hands of the end user in the best possible conditions. Accessories for mounting on platforms from AMD and Intel come in different bags but without any identification, something to correct for the future.

Raijintek Leto is a classic tower type heatsink that is built with a very compact size of only 122 x 76 x 157 mm and a weight of 570 grams with the fan installed. The main body is made up of a dense radiator of very fine aluminum fins, these are intended to increase the heat exchange surface to maximize the cooling capacity of the heatsink.

The fins are joined using a patented seamless technique that improves heat transfer to heatpipes. Raijintek Leto has three copper heatpipes with a thickness of 8 mm, these are attached to the base of the heatsink and have direct contact technology. What does this mean? They are touching the IHS of the processor to achieve the best heat transfer possible.

We now turn to look at the 12025 LED PWM fan attached with the heatsink, as its name says, it has PWM speed adjustment technology and an LED lighting system to improve aesthetics (in our case in white). The fan has dimensions of 120 x 120 x 25 mm and its turning capacity ranges from 800 RPM to 1800 RPM, making it quite adjustable depending on the need for cooling and silence.

This fan offers a maximum air flow of 65.5 CFM with an air pressure of 1.14 mmH2O and a noise of only 28.5 dBA.

Installation and assembly

The installation of the Raijintek Leto is as simple as in all the heatsinks of the brand since it uses the same retention system. The first step is to install the attached backplate on the back of the motherboard. This is compatible for both Intel and AMD socket. Compatible list:

Intel Socket: LGA 775, 115x, 1366, 201x, 2066. AMD Socket: AM4, AM3 +, AM3, AM2 +, AM2, FM2 +, FM2, FM1.

Then we align the screws through the holes and turn the motherboard over.

The next step is to add the four spacers on the screws and mount the two appropriate supports according to the socket in which we are going to install it.

We fix the two supports with the 4 screws and you are ready to install the heatsink.

Finally we install the heatsink on top and screw the two screws to fix it correctly. To finish we just have to add the fan retention clips, and we already have the heatsink installed.

To test the real performance of the heatsink we are going to stress with an interesting Intel i7-8700K at stock speed. As usual, our tests consist of 72 uninterrupted hours of work in stock values, since being a six-core processor and with such high frequencies temperatures shoot up a lot and are not sustainable for a mid-range heatsink, such as the Raijintek LETO.

In this way, we can observe the highest temperature peaks and the average that the heatsink reaches. We must bear in mind that when playing or using other types of software, the temperature will drop dramatically between 7 to 12ºC.

How are we going to measure the processor temperature?

For this test we will use the internal sensors of the processor under the supervision of the HWiNFO64 application in its latest version. We believe that it has positioned itself as the best on the market and even more so as a free version. Let's see the results obtained:

The Raijintek LETO arrives in Europe to compete with high-end heatsinks with the best quality-price ratio. Its unique tower design, the touch that gives it the black color, a good fan with LED lighting and an anchoring system that prevents any vibration.

We recommend reading the best heatsinks on the market

In our tests we have been able to verify that its resting temperatures are really good. Specifically we have obtained with the i7-8700k: 32 ºC at rest, while at maximum power they have risen to 76 ºC. Considering that it is one of the hottest processors on the market, we see good performance.

We also liked that it has absolute compatibility with the new Intel Coffe Lake processors and the released AMD processors: Ryzen 3.5 and 7.
