Unboxing and design

Raijintek has chosen a very careful presentation to deliver the Raijintek Zofos Evo to users in perfect condition. The chassis comes in a very large cardboard box, this box shows us several images as well as its most important characteristics, perfectly detailed, something that is not difficult given its large size.

Once we open the box we find the chassis perfectly accommodated and protected to avoid any type of damage during transport, a plastic bag and several pieces of foam protect it perfectly. Next to the chassis we find all the documentation, and a small box with all the accessories that we will need to assemble the equipment. Your bundle is made up of:

Raijintek Zofos Evo is a huge E-ATX chassis that reaches measures of 245 mm x 617 mm x 598 mm and a high weight of 17.5 Kg. This is the world's first PC chassis to sync RGB lights over M / B, including its 8-port control hub and remote control. We are dealing with a chassis that is made of SECC steel of the best quality, which gives it excellent robustness and makes it very durable. High-quality tempered glass with a thickness of 4 mm has also been used.

As we can see, the entire main side consists of a large tempered glass window, which gives it an incredible appearance and will allow us to enjoy the interior and all the components that we have assembled. The window is fixed using four hand screws, which we will have to remove to access the inside of the chassis. As a curiosity we broke the glass (we got a good scare) and Raijintek will send us another tempered glass, so we will not see more photos of the glass in our analysis.

We shift our gaze to the front of this Raijintek Zofos Evo. The company is committed to a minimalist design, although we observe an angular design, which differentiates it from many other options offered by the market. The brand logo has been placed at the bottom. In this front we find the RGB lighting system, we will see later in details. This front area allows you to mount three 120mm or two 140mm fans, two 120mm fans are included as standard. All the fans will be protected by a magnetic dust filter, which means that we can easily remove it to clean it.

While in the upper front area it has been the chosen place to place the I / O panel, we find two USB 3.0 ports, a USB Type-C port and the 3.5 mm connectors for audio and micro. We go to see the upper area, here we find the possibility of mounting up to three 120 mm or two 140 mm fans, just like on the front. In this case, no serial fan has been included. Raijintek has installed a magnetic dust filter.

Now we focus on the rear, the first thing we appreciate is the 120mm fan, which is included as standard with the two 120mm front fans, this guarantees good air flow without spending more money on fans.

Next to it we see 10 expansion slots, and the area of the power supply at the bottom, the ideal location, since it will take the fresh air directly from the outside, instead of eating all the heat from inside the chassis, which occurs when the font goes to the top.

Finally, we see the lower part, where a dust filter for the power supply has been placed, and four legs finished in rubber, these legs will make the chassis rest perfectly on the table or the floor without transferring vibrations.

Interior and assembly

Once seen the exterior, we have to look at what is hidden inside this Raijintek Zofos Evo Cristal, for this we will only have to remove the main tempered glass panel. Right away we realize how much space this chassis offers us, and how well organized it is.

Before continuing to review all the benefits of this motherboard in its least attractive area: its opposite side, we have plenty of space to collect, store and organize our wiring. Additionally we have a small controller that allows us to manage all the lighting on our PC, this control will be carried out with the attached remote control. We continue!

Next to the E-ATX motherboard we can mount a CPU heatsink with a height of up to 190 mm and graphics cards up to 470 mm in length. This will ensure that we do not have any compatibility problem with the most powerful and advanced components on the market, as neither size nor refrigeration will be a problem.

We will not have space problems for our dedicated cards. We have a total of 10 slots for our motherboard and additionally two slots to vertically place our graphics card. Although we will have to acquire a quality riser to be able to use this option.

The area of the power supply has a cover that we can remove in a very simple way, it allows us to accommodate a unit of up to 350 mm in length.

In this area we also see four bays for 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch hard drives. Along with the front we have another six bays for 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch hard drives, we highlight that this chassis allows us to mount a maximum of 13 2.5-inch hard drives or ten 3.5-inch drives + three drives 2.5-inch, surely none of its users are short of storage.

The large space offered by Raijintek Zofos Evo makes it ideal for the installation of an advanced liquid cooling system, it offers us the possibility of mounting a 240/280/360/420 mm radiator on the front, one 240/280/360 mm in the upper area and one of 240/360 mm on the side. All radiators may have a maximum thickness of 85 mm.

Although at the beginning we have to mount the legs to the box without installing any pre-installed components (we have already mentioned it). The rest is quite simple! Being so wide everything is very comfortable and with the myriad of holes to organize our wiring everything is done super fast.

In our case we have opted for a mid / high range configuration with an AMD Ryzen 5 2600X, Nvidia GTX 1060, 16 GB of RAM, a couple of hard drives and the serial fairing already installed. As you can see the assembly is brutal and with a little more time you can mount what you want by air or liquid cooling.

Every time we try a Raijintek product we are pleasantly surprised. On this occasion, we have been sent the Raijintek Zofos Evo. It is an EE-ATX chassis ideal for those users who want a large PC to store all their hard drives, mount liquid cooling and have a very successful aesthetic.

Refrigeration is one of its strongest points! Standard includes a total of 3 fans (2 in the front and one in the rear), which offer very good pressure. Although it allows us to install up to 7! Do not worry, it allows us to mount 19 cm high heatsinks, high-end graphics cards, a power supply of up to 35 cm and liquid cooling of all colors.
