Review: aerocool sixth element

Anonim

On this occasion we bring you an analysis of the new Aerocool Sixth Element box. It can be found in three versions: Blue Edition (Blue and black), Devil Edition (Red and black) and White Edition (white). Aerocool innovates with an attractive diamond-shaped design and excellent cooling thanks to two Aerocool Shark 120mm fans.

The chassis is made of Japanese 0.6mm SECC steel. The motherboard base, PCI slots, removable HDD caps, and screwless kit are all painted in Electric Blue. The Sixth Element offers high-quality detailing inside and out. Cable management is really easy thanks to its high-quality rubbers (Cable Managment).. Its window is darkened methacrylate and the box offers maximum support of 5 fans (Includes two 140mm Aerocol Shark fans with Blue LEDS on the side front and top). We also want to highlight its spaciousness to be able to accommodate 28 cm graphics cards, but if we remove the hard disk booth we have up to 40 cm !!

The Sixth Element is presented in a cardboard box. Its design is very striking:

Inside, the box is protected by foam rubber and a plastic bag to prevent dust. The box has adhesive plastics on the roof, front and left side to preserve the diamond aesthetic.

We can see in the following image the outstanding finishes of the Sixth Element:

Detail of the darkened methacrylate and the installation grilles of two optional fans.

Front view:

Once we opened the door, we found 4 5 1/4 ″ bays (Superior with 3/12 adapter for floppy disk drive or card reader) and the 14 cm Shark fan.

Back view of the box:

Fantastic top view of the box, with its particular geometric diamond shape:

Top view:

The upper connection panel is made up of:

  • 1 x eSATA2 x USB1 x Microphone and Headphones Power button and ResetLeds Hard disk and power on.

At the bottom, we find four rubber feet and a dust filter for the power supply fan:

Aerocool wants to facilitate the assembly of our components incorporating hand screws:

Once we remove the right side, we witness the inside of the box. The perfect blue paint on the board, disk booth and PCI slots give a spectacular design. The accessories are stored in a cardboard box in the last hard disk booth and the increasingly useful Cable Management:

Detail of the useful installation system for 5 1/4 ″ units (Readers, rehobus, etc…). If we turn clockwise we can unlock the system, and conversely we lock:

The power supply is one of the most important components of our system. The Sixth Element has thought of it with a dust filter, which will prevent the entry of dust. We really liked the four plastic dowels that improve the cooling and avoid annoying vibrations.

In the following image we can see one of the four plastic legs that the tower brings in its lower part. We hoped they would have more quality:

As we can see with the meter, a 28 cm graph fits perfectly. As we have previously commented, if we remove the blue disk booth, any graphic card on the market will fit (Max. 40cm).

If we remove the left side we can see in detail the Cable Management. Administration can be done in three ways, which is enough to manage the wiring of our computer. The 5 ″ 1/4 units easy mounting kit is also on this side of the box, with it we will get a perfect fit. Also, the blacktape hole is wide enough to remove any heatsink, without removing the motherboard.

Refrigeration is undoubtedly one of the most important sections of our computer. And Aerocool has wanted to incorporate two Aerocool Shark fans of 120 mm of 1500 RPM. These fans start with a minimum voltage of 6V, they release an air flow of 96.5 CMF and their useful life is in 100, 000 hours.

WE RECOMMEND YOU DIYPC presents the DIY-Line-RGB chassis, available for $ 89.99

This is what the Aerocool Shark looks like at night:

The Aerocool Sixth Element is accompanied by a wide accessory KIT:

  • Instruction manual (9 languages). Screws (discs, plate, etc…) Set of hard drive rails. Flanges. 2'5 ″ and 3'5 ″ hard drive adapter tray. System speaker

2'5 ″ and 3'5 ″ hard drive adapter tray:

Removable Blue Hard Drive Cabinet:

It is the first Aerocool box that we analyzed. The Sixth Element has an aggressive diamond design, a neat and pampered structure. The Aerocool team has left many details in this Sixth Element: easy mounting kit, cable manager, removable disk booths, anti-vibration rubber power supply, filters and two quality fans although at 12v they are somewhat noisy (30 dBA However, we would have liked some USB 3.0 port, instead of the "old" 2.0. The cooling system can be considered "fair" by only having 2 120mm fans, perhaps with another pair of fans with filters in the window / rear the air flow would be more efficient. The box lives up to expectations marked by the Professional Review Team with an excellent price of ~ 85 € for a medium-high range box. We leave you with our classic table of advantages and disadvantages:

ADVANTAGE
