Antec maintains its corporate format in the presentation of the True Quiet PRO 120 fan with gray and yellow colors. In the back we have all the characteristics of the fan.
The box includes:
- Antec True Quiet PRO 120.5 Silentblocks fan. 3-pin fan adapter to molex 12v.
The fan at first glance reminds us a lot of the Be Quiet SilentWings for its rubber frame.
Although I have to confess that these Antec are more aesthetically attractive.
But look at what the fan looks like.
Attentive to the design of their blades that are attached to the frame, forming a kind of turbine.
Antec maintains its installation policy without tools and has incorporated a quick and easy anchorage system for its installation. It is about 4 rubbers that we will install in it the silentblocks.
The cable is fully meshed in black and has a 3-pin connector installed.
It also incorporates a switch to control revolutions per minute in two modes: 600 rpm quietly or 1200 RPM for high-performance cooling.
3-pin to molex adapter cable. By having an external controller, it will not affect its performance.
Antec took care of all the details, and this time it was not going to be less. It includes 4 silentblocks plus a spare one.
Here how would be your installation.
The True Quiet PRO 120 is a latest generation 12 cm fan, manufactured by Antec.
We want to focus a little on its design, because it joins its blades with the frame forming a cylindrical turbine. This design provides a significant improvement in cooling and avoids any type of turbulence, when the blades move the air.
Another of its innovations is the incorporation of four anti-vibration rubbers in each corner of the frame. Its installation is quick and easy when using the SilentBlocks provided.
We have checked the fan as a box fan. Having a great result in our tests with the latest generation equipment (Antec One box, i7 3770k CPU, Asus Maximus V Formula, Noctua NHD14, GTX580 DCII). Having the processor just 31ºC in idle and 38ºC in full the graphics card. I would have liked to check its performance with a heatsink or radiator, but since it does not have special hardware / anchors for its installation (M4 screws and washers can be a solution) I have not checked its performance.
Another of its strengths is the incorporation of two operating profiles 600 RPM (LOW) or 1200 RPM (HIGH) and its excellent pads, which at low revolutions are invaluable.
I consider the True Quiet PRO 120 the quietest fan I have ever tested. It is also capable of moving the hot air in the box in an excellent way, without causing vibrations. It will soon arrive in Spain and its recommended price is € 14.95.
