Raijintek Pallas unboxing in detail
The party starts! It comes packed in a small cardboard box and its two dominant corporate colors: red and black. At the top we have all the characteristics and technical specifications of the heatsink.
Once we open the box and remove the protective plastics, we have the Raijintek Pallas heatsink. If we take a deeper look, we see that it has robust dimensions to be low-profile: 153x150x68 mm and a fairly good weight with 420 grams.
It is totally built with quality materials: aluminum and nickel-plated copper that give it a touch of very elegant shine. The grill comes bundled with 6 very thick and sturdy heatpipes, which will be able to dissipate any mainstream i3 / i5 / i7 Xeon processor on the market.
As can be seen in the following image, we have two holes to screw two of the main hooks on the socket. It is very important to use a good screwdriver. Regarding the base, it is a nickel-plated copper finish and the result is a masterpiece.
Among its accessories we find:
- Backplate. 2 Fan anchors. Thermal paste in an envelope. Screws. Adapters. PWM 14013 fan.
Regarding the fan, it is a Raijintek PWM 14013 with dimensions 140 x 150 x 13 mm (thinner than normal), with speeds of 650 ~ 1400 RPM, an air flow of 56.55 CFM, a pressure of 1.24 mm, a MTBF of 40, 000 hours, a noise level of up to 28 dBA and a 4-pin PWM connection.
Very noteworthy, that once we assemble the heatsink plus fan assembly. They make a total height of 6.8 cm.
Installation and assembly
The first step is to install the backplate from the back of the motherboard. This is compatible for both Intel and AMD socket. Compatible list:
- Intel LGA: 775/1150/1155/1156/1366/2011 CPU (Core ™ i3 / i5 / i7 CPU).AMD Socket: FM1 / FM2 / FM2 + / AM2 / AM2 + / AM3 / AM3 + CPU.
We align the screws through the holes and turn the motherboard over.
We add the four spacers on the screws and mount the two supports. Look image?
We screw the 4 screws and apply thermal paste on the heatsink. A line or a line plus two smaller ones are sufficient.
We install the heatsink on top and screw the two screws of the last adapter. The last thing we have left is to add the clips to the fan and we have the heatsink installed.
The heatsink supports only low-profile memory. So a lot of eye when choosing. Also, on ITX motherboards we may have space limitations and problems with the PCI Express port.

To test the actual performance of the heatsink we have stressed the Intel i7 4770k (Socket 1150) with prime numbers (Prime95 custom) for more than 24 continuous hours. For those who do not know, Prime95, is a well-known software in the overclocking sector, which allows us to detect failures when the processor works 100% for long hours. In the same situation we have programs that use other stress algorithms such as Linx and Intel Burn TestV2.
WE RECOMMEND YOU Raijintek Triton 360 Review in Spanish (Complete Analysis)How are we going to measure the processor temperature?
We will use the internal sensors of the processor. For this test on Intel processors we will use the “Core Temp” application in its latest version. Although it is not the most reliable test, it will be our reference in all our analyzes. The test bench will be around 20ºC ambient temperature.
Let's see the results obtained are 27ºC in idle 47ºC in Full. While with an overclock with an overclock 1.22va at 4500 mhz with results of 33ºC and 65ºC respectively.
Final words and conclusion
The Raijintek Pallas is a single-body heatsink for slim or small systems. Its components: nickel-plated copper and aluminum are of the highest range on the market. In addition, aesthetically it makes our team shine in a superior way. You have measures of 15.3 cm x15 x 6.8 cm and a weight of only 420 grams.
The results speak for themselves with an excellent i7 4770k processor: 27ºC / 47ºC in stock values and 33ºC / 65ºC with an overclock of 1.22va at 4500 mhz. What it is, is a very efficient dissipation and with a very contained noise at maximum revolution (30 dBa).
The installation of the heatsink is very simple and in a matter of 15 to 20 minutes it is installed and working. The grip and firmness are very good. I really like this new style of anchorage made by Raijintek.
In short, if you are looking for a high-performance low-profile heatsink, with quality components, a quiet fan and a very attractive price. The Raijintek Pallas should be your first choice.
