Review: raijintek ereboss

Anonim

Raijintek was born in 2013 to offer consumers the best quality / price ratio on the market for air cooling. Although its name seems somewhat bizarre, it is made up of a great R&D team made up of members of Cooler Master and Xigmatek.

This time we have among us its high performance heatsink: Raijintek EreBoss. It is a processor cooler, its size is very bulky and it has 6 copper heatpipes of 6 mm diameter each and they have given an excellent result in our tests.

Raijintek Ereboss unboxing in detail

The presentation of the heatsink borders on minimalism. It comes protected in a 20 x 15 cm cardboard box, which on the front we have a view of the heatsink and the name in large font. While on the sides come the technical features and specifications.

Once we open the box we see all the content that could come a little better protected, but everything came home safe and sound.

The bundle includes a wide repertoire of accessories, better we detail it point by point:

  • Raijintek Ereboss heatsinkAccessories for all Intel and AMD sockets.Fixing stage.Silentblock and a slim 140 mm fan.Heat paste.User manual.

The instruction manual is in different languages, obviously they have not forgotten Spanish ?

The Raijintek Ereboss is a large single tower heatsink. It is made with the highest quality materials: copper, nickel-plated copper and aluminum.

In it we have eight holes to connect up to two 140mm fans with a very innovative anchoring style (silentblocks).

As we can see in the following image, the separation is sufficient to perform with low speed fans (RPM). Winning in silence and hardly losing degrees.

At the top we have the end of the heatpipes:

With a total of six sixmm heatpipes each with a crisscross pattern as seen on the base. This design should offer a uniform heat transfer between the heatsink base and the heatsink tower. It has a total of 34 aluminum fins, which ensure efficient and ideal cooling for high-end processors.

The base is nickel-plated copper and has a small protective plastic. Its mirror finish is beautiful, what's more, it is the first heatsink with this perfect finish.

A small sample of the almost perfect reflection of our card.

The Raijintek AG14013MMSPAB 140mm slim comes equipped with a fan, as it only measures 13mm deep!

But let's not be confused because it has excellent performance: it is capable of offering a PWM control of 650 to 1400 RPM, an air flow that can reach up to 56.55 CFM, emit up to 28 dBA and a life expectancy of up to 40, 000 hours.

Installation and assembly

It is time to explain how this great heatsink is mounted. We have two mounting kits one for Intel and one for AMD. If we look at the image from the upper left corner, we will see its plates that are for AMD, a little more for bass is universal, this serves as a point for the heatsink and the last two are for Intel.

Then on the right we have screws, threads and 8 silentblocks that serve as an anchor for two fans with the heatsink.

Includes this universal backplate mount for both AMD and Intel.

We place it on the motherboard and we are inserting the longest screws.

That we will be twisting as follows until it is 100% anchored.

The result is as follows:

The heatsink allows us to install it both horizontally and vertically. We choose the desired position and proceed to screw the threads to the two plates with the screwdriver.

We apply thermal paste to the processor. At Intel haswell and AMD I use one line, while at LGA 2011 three vertical lines.

We only have to mount the fixing plate and tighten the two screws.

We already have the heatsink attached! How good it looks!

In the four holes of the fans we insert silentblocks and anchor it to the heatsink. Everything is very intuitive.

We have the assembly ready. Everything went great and the first time. With these steps you have sucked it.

The Raijintek Ereboss is compatible with high profile memory (only with two modules) or low profile (second image).

To test the actual performance of the heatsink we have stressed the Intel i7 4770k (Socket 1150) with prime numbers (Prime95 custom) for more than 24 continuous hours. For those who do not know, Prime95, is a well-known software in the overclocking sector, which allows us to detect failures when the processor works 100% for long hours. In the same situation we have programs that use other stress algorithms such as Linx and Intel Burn TestV2.

WE RECOMMEND YOU Gigabyte, Colorful, Galaxy, MSI and Asus show their GTX 980/970

How are we going to measure the processor temperature?

We will use the internal sensors of the processor. For this test on Intel processors we will use the “Core Temp” application in its latest version. Although it is not the most reliable test, it will be our reference in all our analyzes. The test bench will be around 20ºC ambient temperature.

Let's see the results obtained:

Final words and conclusion

The Raijintek Ereboss is a single tower heatsink for high-end systems thanks to its excellent materials (nickel-plated copper and aluminum) without spending too much on our budget. You have to be very careful as it has dimensions of 14 x 11.05 x 16 cm and a weight of 808 grams. Its compatibility with high profile ram memory is very good, but I recommend using low profile if we want to occupy the 4 sockets.

We can install a total of two 140mm fans with their innovative silentblock anchors, which prevent high vibrations. The included fan is SLIM and performs very well, but we put a snag at its high noise level when it is at maximum power.

The results speak for themselves with an excellent i7 4770k processor: 25ºC / 47ºC in stock values and 30ºC / 60ºC with a 1.20va 4500 mhz overclocking. Leaving its rivals minimum differences of 1 to 3ºC.

The installation of the heatsink is tedious at first, but with the steps described in this analysis you have it very easy. In a matter of 10 to 15 minutes you will have it mounted.

In short, if you are looking for a high performance heatsink that meets 3 B (Good, nice and cheap), the Raijintek Ereboss should be number one on your list. You can already buy it in online stores for just € 35.95.
