In addition to its large 43-inch monitor, Asus also presented in society a new 27-inch monitor, obviously smaller that maintains many of the characteristics that we would require from a 'gaming' monitor. This is the ROG Strix XG27UQ DSC monitor.

Asus ROG Strix XG27UQ DSC is a 27-inch 4K HDR monitor

The ROG Strix XG27UQ DSC maintains a screen with 4K resolution and HDR technology, but the latter lowers its quality to DisplayHDR 400, unlike the DisplayHDR 1000 specification of the 43-inch model.

The image refresh rate is 144 Hz, although we don't know exactly what the screen delay (ms) is. Asus' 27-inch display boasts a wide color gamut based on 90% DCI-P3 color coverage and offers the same DSC support as its older brother Strix XG43UQ.

There are other differences between both screens, for example, the ROG Strix XG27UQ DSC does not support FreeSync 2 but it does Adaptive Sync to bring smoothness to the image and its panel is of the IPS type and not VA. Perhaps it is for this reason that it does not support a better HDR, but we are only speculating at this point.

At the base of the monitor we can also see that there is some kind of red lighting that is projected onto the surface where the monitor is placed. On the back, lighting has also been included in the classic ROG logo.

At the moment, we do not know its price or release date. We will keep you informed.
