PC gamers will soon have a new gaming monitor to keep an eye on. Asus introduced the 43-inch ROG Strix XG43UQ DSC 4K monitor, which features the best in display technology.

Asus plans to meet the demand of gamers and to be able to play on larger monitors without sacrificing the advantages of a traditional monitor over LED TV screens. The ROG Strix XG43UQ DSC has a native 4K resolution panel operating at a refresh rate of 144 Hz. HDR technology is also present in this monitor, to enjoy more vivid colors than ever.

Display Stream Compression (DSC) technology is an industry-wide compression standard that enables very high definition video streams to be moved through a single interface at high speed without loss of visual quality. It also enables support for Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and HDR from a single connection. Hence the inclusion of the acronym DSC.

With DSC technology, ROG Strix XG43UQ is capable of operating at 4K resolution, 144Hz refresh rate and DisplayHDR 1000. In addition to VRR FreeSync 2 technology to avoid annoying tearing or stuttering effects, providing smooth image movements at all times.
