The first AMD Radeon RX 5300M GPU performance results have been presented by Notebookcheck . It is an entry-level GPU based on Navi 14 that is designed solely for notebooks. Apparently, there are already some initial performance tests of this GPU working on a computer, which was tested in the 3DMark tool.

RX 5300M easily outperforms Nvidia's GTX 1650 Mobility

The AMD Radeon RX 5300M is the most basic chip in the Navi family of GPUs, with 22 CUs (1408 SP). Although it is not the GPU with the least amount of CUs, that would be the Pro 5300M with 20 CUs (1280 SP), even so, it is below the Pro in terms of gross performance. The main difference between the Pro and RX variants is that the Radeon Pro 5300M has 4 GB of GDDR6 memory with a 12 Gbps clock for about 192 GB / s of bandwidth, while the Radeon RX 5300M comes with 3 GB of GDDR6 memory with a 12 Gbps clock for a bandwidth of 168 GB / s. As for the GPU clock, the Pro variant runs at a slower 1230 MHz frequency, while the RX variant runs at 1445 MHz.

Results in Fire Strike

The Radeon RX 5300M is a fairly basic graphical gaming solution for notebooks and should compete with NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 1650.

Results in 3DMark 11

The platform the RX 5300M was tested on included a Ryzen 7 3750H with Vega 10 graphics, the Navi 14 GPU being the dedicated part. The featured Radeon RX 5300M was running at 1036 MHz base and 1445 MHz boost. Despite the lower base clocks, the Radeon RX 5300M managed to beat the GTX 1650 Max-Q by 19% and even managed to be faster than the standard GTX 1650 by 8% in 3DMark Firestrike. In 3DMark 11, the AMD Radeon RX 5300M is 8% faster than the standard GTX 1650 and 24% faster than the Max-Q variant for notebooks.
