We finally have the first performance tests of the AMD Radeon RX VEGA 64 in its final version that will hit the stores in a matter of days, making something clear, the GTX 1080 Ti would continue to be the most powerful graphics card on the market.

First benchmarks of RX VEGA 64 in its final version

The tests provided by the people at Videocardz were carried out with 3DMark in its different facets using Intel Core i7 processors and a VEGA GPU that varies between 1630MHz - 1750MHz, although there is a case where the frequency was 1536MHz.

Three high-end Nvidia graphics cards have been used in the tests, the mentioned GTX 1080 Ti, GTX 1080 (both Gaming X models) and the GTX 1070 Colorful iGame.

3DMark Fire Strike Performance

In this test we see that the GTX 1080 Ti takes a great advantage with 29425 points, while the Radeon RX VEGA 64 is in second place 22589 points, but above the GTX 1080 (dry) with 22585 points.

3DMark Fire Strike Extreme

In this test the GTX 1080 Ti leads again with 14401, an advantage of 3000 points over the RX VEGA 64. In this test the GTX 1080 is almost in last place with 10.048 points.

3DMark Fire Strike Ultra

The Nvidia variant continues to lead the tests with 7160 points in this test, the new AMD graphics card achieves 6057 points with a frequency of 1750MHz. We see the supremacy of the RX VEGA 64 again over the GTX 1080, but for very little.

3DMark Time Spy

In the last test the GTX 1080 Ti and its younger sister win first and second place.

In the absence of seeing the performance in real games, we can already anticipate that the RX VEGA 64 will be on par with the GTX 1080 and possibly something better, but it can do nothing compared to the GTX 1080 Ti. We will keep you informed.
