The latest market share results for AMD and Intel CPUs at Germany's largest retailer have just been released and AMD continues to sell above Intel Core after the launch of the Ryzen 3000 series.

AMD continues to sell above Intel Core within a month of Ryzen 3000 series launch

According to the latest results, more people continued to buy A MD Ryzen CPUs instead of Intel's Core lineup due to a series of discounts and promotions that AMD introduced as part of its celebration of the AMD50.

According to Mindfactory's latest report on market share and revenue, AMD has once again led the total number of CPUs sold compared to Intel. In May 2019, AMD Ryzen CPUs and APUs had a 66% share, while Intel Core processors had a 34% share. Both AMD and Intel managed to sell more processors compared to last month, but we could see that AMD Ryzen CPUs remained popular even when the launch of Ryzen's third generation was confirmed for early July.

This can be explained for two reasons; AMD made several offers for its 50th anniversary, for its series of processors and graphics cards, where they even received up to 130 in games. On the other hand, although Intel prices have been in the Core series, a stable supply of ninth generation processors is not yet seen and this is expected to continue until the fourth quarter of 2019.

Now it seems that the Ryzen 5 2600 is the most popular chip offering 6 cores with 12 threads at an incredibly affordable price. The Ryzen 7 2700X is the second most popular chip for AMD in its Ryzen stack.

Of the AMD CPUs sold, 71% were Pinnacle Ridge (Ryzen 2000 CPUs), 18% were Raven Ridge (Ryzen 2000 APUs), 10% were Summit Ridge (Ryzen 1000 CPUs), and the remaining 1% were HEDT Threadripper CPUs. Intel's stake included 59% Coffee Lake Refresh (9th Generation), 33% Coffee Lake (8th Generation), 7% Kaby Lake (7th Gen), and 1% Skylake-X (Core-X).

The arrival of Ryzen 3000 may shake up these numbers, boosting AMD chip sales once again.
