Ryzen threadripper 4000 is seen in the aida64 database

Although we have yet to see even a sign of life for the Threadripper 3000 series, some speculation about the 4000 series (Zen 3) has already started, as the AIDA64 database has been updated and gives us a little hint about its existence..

Code names "Vermeer" and "Genesis" appeared on AIDA64. And the latest is a new generation of Threadripper.

Vermeer is said to be synonymous with Ryzen 4000 and Zen 3 in general, this was something that was already known. Genesis, however, is new and would refer to 'Genesis Peak' in the US state of Washington, in the immediate vicinity of Castle Peak and Colfax Peak. In the thesis, Genesis is assumed to be Threadripper 4000, because Threadripper 3000 has the codename Castle Peak reserved, while Threadripper 2000 is Colfax (Peak), so this deduction arises by itself.

The models to which reference is made;

• AMD Family 19h Models 00h-0h, "Genesis" AMD Family 19h Models 20h-2h, "Vermeer"

This is, of course, speculation and not confirmation. Whatever Zen 3 will bring to the table is speculation. PCI Express 5.0 and DDR5 are an option, but it is quite uncertain if this will actually happen. Another speculation is that the SMT will handle four threads per core, which is somewhat interesting.

Meanwhile, Threadripper 3000 will be out later this year and the first hints have already appeared in the last few hours. We will keep you informed.
