Samsung 970 EVO and 970 PRO are cheaper than originally announced

To continue its leadership, the South Korean firm has decided to present its Samsung 970 EVO and 970 PRO with lower prices than previously announced. This price reduction across the entire capabilities catalog should encourage its competitors to adjust prices as well, in order to compete with new solutions presented by the tech giant. Samsung offers a 5-year warranty on these new devices, making them an ideal choice for all the most demanding users.

With this movement, the Samsung 970 EVO in its 250 GB and 500 GB versions is left with prices of 110 euros and 200 euros, while the 1 TB and 2 TB versions come out for 400 euros and 800 euros respectively. These prices are even slightly lower than those of the Intel 760p models of the same capacity, a declaration of intent from the South Korean. As for the Samsung 970 PRO, the 500 GB and 1 TB models go on sale for prices of 250 euros and 500 euros, very competitive figures for what is the best high-performance SSD on the market.

Samsung is a world leader in the manufacture of 3D NAND TLC and MLC memories, it also has its own controllers, so it can manufacture its new SSDs without having to resort to other manufacturers, something that puts it at a clear competitive advantage.
