Samsung is already doing its thing again. As if we did not already have enough (understand the irony) and before the imminent presentation of its Samsung Galaxy S4 model and the Mobile World Congress in February, we have to delight ourselves with its new family member, the Samsung Galaxy express (model I8730).

It is a smartphone that has been presented in the United States by the South Korean company and that is still a more mid-range device, only with a couple of peculiarities that make it special compared to others. So let's proceed to tell you a little more about this new "galactic" creature.

Technical characteristics

Its screen is superAMOLED type which facilitates good visibility in any situation. It consists of a size of 4.5 inches and a maximum resolution of 800 x 480 pixels (207 dpi).

P rocessor: it houses a dual-core soc, we assume the Exynos 4 Cortex-A9 type at 1.2 GHz. Its Mali 400 graphics and accompanied by 1 GB of RAM. As an operating system we have Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

Camera: it has two well differentiated cameras, a 5 megapixel Full HD rear camera with LED flash, autofocus and recording with a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080p; and another front with 1.3 megapixels that can record videos in HD quality with a maximum resolution of 1280x720p.

Design: The Galaxy Express is 132.2 x 69.1 x 9.3mm thick and weighs 139 grams. Its casing will be metallic white. Its edges will have rounded finishes. On its sides it presents the on / off buttons and the volume control.

Connectivity: as wireless connections it is worth highlighting the connection 3G - 4G, Wifi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC or DLNA technology. As for wired networks, the Galaxy Express will be able to use an MHL adapter necessary to convert its microUSB port into an HDMI connection to be able to watch videos on compatible monitors or televisions. Also as usual it has a 3.5 mm output for headphones.

Other features: it is worth noting the compatibility of this device with most of the multimedia formats available in the market, such as: MKV, AVI, FLV or WMV in terms of videos, and in audio and images we have JPE, GIF, BMP, WMA, AAC, MP3, ACC +, etc. Its 2000 mAh battery gives it a not very remarkable autonomy, although in the end it will depend on the handling that the user gives it. Its internal memory is 8 GB, expandable up to 32 GB through microSD cards.

Availability and price

Its price in online store ranges from € 255 to € 285. Recently they have presented it and we hope that it will be marketed with all the operators in the country.
