Samsung galaxy tab pro 10.1: technical characteristics, availability and price

In the absence of CES 2014, we already have a new creature from the South Korean company Samsung hanging around here. We are talking about the new Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1, a tablet that as far as we can tell will have good specifications. Whether it will be a success or not is still a mystery, but at Professional Review we want to give you a preview of its characteristics. Do not lose detail:

Screen: It has a size of 10.1 inches and a WQXGA resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels , which gives it a density of 149 pixels per inch.

Regarding its processor, we can say that it will be of one type or another depending on its connectivity: the Wifi / 3G version has an Exynos 5 Octa SoC (Quad core at 1.9 GHz + Quad Core at 1.3 GHz); And if we talk about the model that offers 4G / LTE support, we will be referring to the Snapdragon 800 at 2.3 GHz quad core. Its RAM memory is 2 GB. As an operating system present on the tablet we have Android version 4.4 KitKat, along with the customization of Samsung that brings with it the multi-window mode or the new Magazine UX startup interface.

Camera: Samsung's Tab Pro features an 8-megapixel rear lens that is accompanied by an LED flash; and another 2 megapixel front .

Connectivity: As we have already anticipated, it will have two different connection models: one that features WiFi and 3G, and another that offers LTE / 4G support. Both also include GPS + GLONASS and an Infrared emitter.

Internal memory: it will put on sale in the market a model that has 16 GB of ROM and another that contains 32 GB, expandable in both cases by microSD card up to 64 GB.

The battery of this Samsung tablet has a huge capacity of 8220 mAh, something that will not hurt, giving it great autonomy, very necessary if we use it especially for video playback or play a moderately powerful game.

Design: the Tab Pro has dimensions of 243.1 mm high x 171.4 mm wide x 7.3 mm thick, which gives it a weight of 469 grams in its 3G version and just 8 grams more if we talk about the tablet with LTE / 4G support (477 grams). It will be available in white or black. Their rear parts do not stand out especially, since they do not stop having the look and feel of embroidered and synthetic leather that we have seen so many times in other models. It also includes in one of its front margins a central physical button accompanied by two capacitive buttons.

Availability and price: since it has not yet been presented, we must wait a few weeks to know its availability and especially its starting price, which we can imagine will be more expensive in its LTE / 4G version. Its cost will depend above all to know if we will be a tablet that will become a best seller or "one more" in the market.
