Samsung patents its next phones with screen without edges and notches

Samsung is one of the few manufacturers that has not yet released the notched displays, but the manufacturer may be on the verge of succumbing to market pressure.

This could be the design of the Samsung Galaxy S10

A new set of patents revealed that the South Korean company is designing phones with borderless displays and the aforementioned notches. As can be seen in the designs, it will house a proximity sensor, an earpiece and its own camera, while the screen extends to all four sides, leaving a minimum of bezels. The back, however, is photographed with various camera settings, one of them suspiciously close to that of the iPhone X.

Looking at the images, it seems that Samsung has patented all the designs just in case. The dual configuration can be seen positioned horizontally in the upper left corner with and without antenna bands entering through it. There's also a vertical setup reminiscent of Apple's flagship, and of course, a variant with the camera in the center, which is usually Samsung's custom.

We are also surprised to see another terminal completely without bezels of any kind, it does not even have a front camera. This could be a new terminal or some new type of screen protection, probably some kind of scratch resistant internal glass. In this way Samsung will stop buying Gorilla Glass components from Corning, but at the moment, we are only speculating.

Could we be looking at the design of the upcoming Galaxy S10 here?
