Samsung has unveiled its new Samsung PM1725a SSD that promises to become the fastest on the market for the most enthusiastic users. This new SSD uses the NVMe protocol together with V-NAND 3bit MLC technology and an Epic controller to offer read and write rates of brutal 6.4GB / sec and 3GB / sec respectively in its HHHL version with a PCIe x8 slot interface. There will also be a version with a 2.5-inch format that maintains the same characteristics but sees its speed reduced to 3.3GB / sec and 2.9GB / sec in reading and writing.

The Samsung PM1725a SSD will arrive in storage capacities of 800GB / 1.6TB / 3.2TB / 6.4TB to adapt to the needs of all users, although let's not forget that it is aimed at the business sector for its high performance. This SSD is certified for 24/7/365 operation and has a full performance power consumption of just 23W down to 7.7W at idle. It will come at the end of the year.
