Samsung wants to manufacture 3nm processors in 2022
The company wants to go step by step in this direction and that it is a natural process and that it advances at a good pace. But they want to accomplish all of this in four years. So they are going to have a lot of work.
Samsung continues betting on processors
They are currently focused on 7nm processors, which are the smallest they have on the market today. But, the next step is to go to manufacturing in 5nm, which will be with processors that will give very low energy consumption. It is an important step for Samsung in this regard and it is sure to revolutionize the market.
But after 5 nm, the signature will go down to 3nm. With this decision they would become the first company in the sector to manufacture processors in this architecture. Although these processors are not going to start production until at least 2022. This was confirmed at this event in America.
At the moment, the production of its 7nm processors will start in the second half of the year. This has already been confirmed by Samsung itself. It is the first step in these ambitious plans. But we will have to wait a couple of years to see the evolution in their processors.
