Samsung already has 6 gigabit lpddr3 chips

Anonim

Giant Samsung has announced that it can now mass-produce the industry's first 6 gigabit (Gb) 20-nanometer LPDDR3 chips.

These 6 Gb LPDDR3 chips are based on the latest manufacturing technology at 20 nanometers that the brand owns, therefore they have the highest energy efficiency for smartphones, ensuring longer battery life and faster application execution speeds.

Samsung intends to create a 3 GB (gigabyte) set of LPDDR3 memory using four 6 Gb chips that would be integrated into mobile devices. The brand claims that these 3GB arrays are 20% smaller and consume 10% less power than the same modules currently available.

Are you wondering what that gigabit is? We explain it to you:

A gigabit is equivalent to 125 megabytes, so each of these 6 gigabit chips contains 750 megabytes of capacity, putting 4 chips together we obtain the 3 gigabytes.
