While we are eager to get the hang of Intel's B360, H370 and H310 motherboards, the market for embedded motherboards is soon to receive an update with the eighth generation chips from the Californian company. They will be those with Q370, QM370 and HM370 chipsets.

New motherboards with Q370, QM370 and HM370 chipsets are coming

IBase has shown two motherboards that support multiple chipsets for Xeon E and Core processors.

The integrated platform for Coffee Lake processors use Q370 / QM370 and HM370 chipsets. The MB995 motherboard (which can be seen below these lines) is supplied with the C246 or Q370 chipset, depending on whether the Xeon or Core processor will be used. It is a standard ATX motherboard with four DDR4 slots and LGA1151 socket placed in a different direction than the consumer motherboards that we can see from other famous manufacturers.

The mini-ITX motherboard called MI995 is supplied in four variants: MI995VF-Xeon (QM246) for Xeon E3, MI995VF-i7 (QM370) for Core i7, MI995VF-i5 (QM370) for Core i5 and MI995VF-i3 (HM370) for Core i3. This motherboard has a CPU built into the FCBA1440 socket.

We do not yet have the date when these motherboards will be available and the price they will have is a mystery, but both Intel and AMD are in charge of renewing their entire line of processors towards Coffee Lake and Ryzen of the second generation in the case of AMD. This forces manufacturers to build new motherboards that can get the most out of that extra performance they are offering.
