The Corsair family of gaming chairs have a new signing, so today we will analyze the Corsair T3 RUSH. A chair that in this case is ideal for both gaming and office, with a design that we have loved

In this case, the manufacturer has used a bucket-type design, but with a very soft and breathable fabric finish that makes it very elegant and professional, whose finishes are exquisite. It is also the cheapest model of the current three from the manufacturer, and is available in 3 versions. If you are thinking of buying a new "throne" do not miss this review, let's get started!

But first, we have to thank Corsair for trusting us with this excellent chair for analysis.

Corsair T3 RUSH technical characteristics

Unboxing

This Corsair T3 RUSH has arrived to us in a cardboard box of about 24 kg of net weight and large dimensions. It is made of traditional rigid cardboard in a neutral color. We will only see the serigraphy with the logo and a sketch of the chair on the side faces.

We lay it on the floor and make the opening on one of the widest faces, obviously with the serigraphy correctly positioned to remove the different components. Each one of them is packed in a plastic bag and separated by polythene foam panels.

Inside this package we will find the following components:

At least we have the armrests already mounted, so there will be 6 fewer screws to remove and put, and it really shows in the time invested in mounting it. Smaller accessories such as the piston, wheels and trims come in a separate box inside, as well as the chair's movement mechanism.

Design and construction

With this, there are already three models that we have available and for sale from the manufacturer Corsair. In fact we lack something like this for users who prefer a more decorative and serious design with soft fabric finishes. And they also have a lower cost than the other two, although obviously we sacrifice certain aspects such as plastic legs or a somewhat more compact size than the others.

There are three variants for sale, in our case we have the Corsair T3 RUSH Carbon, in which the veined gray color prevails in the purest sofa style. Meanwhile, we have the gray / charcoal model, which combines light gray as the primary color and dark gray for side elements and details, and the gray / white model, in which case we have main gray and white details.

The exterior finishes as we say are entirely in very soft and lightly padded fabric, although without reaching the velvet texture. In fact, the manufacturer shows us on a small sign hanging on the chair that this fabric is resistant to cigarettes and does not spread flame in case of fire. We have not done the test of course nor do we recommend playing the skin.

If we go inside what we will find is polyurethane foam or cold foam in two integral blocks, one for the backrest and the other for the seat, whose density in this case is 55 kg / m ³. The chassis is made of steel tubes and harnesses for the back and central part of the seat. We only have the presence of plastic on the legs as we will see now.

Components and performance

Next we will see in detail each of the elements that make up the Corsair T3 RUSH.

Legs and wheels

The first thing we find in the box are the legs, in a star configuration with 5 arms and entirely made of hard plastic and very thick. The Corsair T3 RUSH is the most economical seat from the manufacturer, and one of the cuts made is precisely this one. In any case, they are capable of supporting 120 kg and even more solvent, but obviously they are not of the quality that metal nails can give.

In the lower area we have a crosshead system to improve the rigidity of the set, while in the upper part we have an embossed design with a central core in smooth shiny plastic to improve aesthetics. Keep in mind that the hole to install the wheels is also plastic, and we do not know how it will respond over time, in any case, we must take extreme precautions and treat the chair well to avoid premature wear.

Now we take care of the wheels, which are built in nylon with a metal axle and spoke structure to improve aesthetics and lighten weight. They are quite large wheels, with a diameter of 65 mm that will allow us an excellent bearing on practically any surface and also quite quietly.

In this case, they do not have brakes to lock them, nor do they have ball bearings, but the experience of use is more than satisfactory. As always, the way to install it on the legs will be by pressing them into each hole. As this hole is made of plastic, it is quite easy to remove and insert them.

Piston and movement mechanism

The element that joins legs and seat in this Corsair T3 RUSH will be the next to analyze. It is simply a class 4 gas piston with its corresponding DIN 4550 certification to support a weight of 120 kg. In this case, neither the top nor the bottom, which are pressurized in each element, are not lubricated.

It will be something to keep in mind, since we recommend at least wetting both holes with a little oil before installing the piston so that we do not have squeaking problems after a while.

The maximum travel offered by this piston will be 10 cm, a fairly standard measurement for a chair of this type. In this way the lowest seat height (support base) will be 44 cm, and the highest position 54 cm. Therefore, it is a very good chair for both small and taller people, even 190 cm, since someone like me who is about 1.80 meters tall is comfortable at a height of 50 cm.

Many people associate the squeaks with the poor quality of the chair, but it is simply for lack of lubrication in the elements that move, lever, backrest, piston and seat. It happens to almost all chairs and you just have to locate the noise zone and re-grease it.

Now we turn to see the mechanism that connects the seat to the piston, being this of a fairly standard construction and design. It is logically made of metal, and has 4 anchor points with screws to the seat. The screws will be found directly screwed into the base, so it's time to remove them and then put them back.

In the case of the Corsair T3 RUSH we will have a spring to regulate the hardness of the tilt in the form of a rocker for your seat. We will not have the possibility of blocking its angle of inclination, although we will be able to block the inclination with the lever. Said tilt range may range from 0 ^o to 10 ^o. In this case we will only need a single lever to carry out this block or to activate the movement of the piston up or down.

Highly padded, elegant backrest with cushions that are useful

Yes, we have already repeated the word "elegant" several times, but it is what inspires us in the design and finishes of this Corsair T3 RUSH, that is why we see it as indicated both for gaming and for the office.

Although of course, its essence is more inclined to gaming, since the design is still bucket-like as competition seats. In it we have a relatively large headboard that will come phenomenal so that our whole body is inside the chair. Both front and back have the Corsair logo stitched with thread and embossed. Nor does it renounce the two large openings topped with a plastic piece that, among other things, will serve to grip the cervical cushion.

The backrest is made of a single piece of high-density polyurethane foam, although slightly softer, or that's the feeling, than that of the seat. In this case we do not have a great curvature in the central area, in fact it is very smooth, which improves comfort for short people. In addition, the lateral ears are very pronounced and of considerable thickness, and it is something very important to consider for people with a very wide back, since they will surely find it too tight.

As a coating we have fabric this time, but something more special, since it has a very very soft texture with two-tone gray microfibers that generate that effect that we see in the photos. It is also very breathable, making it a great option for warm environments like the one we live in. The edges and central part finishes are made of yarn with a slightly darker gray, giving it a very good look and finish.

To improve ergonomics, in addition to the cervical cushion, a second one is included for the lumbar part. This is much wider and larger than what we are used to seeing, but at the same time it is flatter to place it at different heights on the backrest. Curiously, they do not offer the possibility of joining the two through the typical elastics, but they will each go their own way. In both cases, memory foam has been used as padding, and a velvet fabric for the outside.

And the truth is that they are very comfortable cushions and that in this case it is worth placing them on the chair. The cervical has the necessary curvature to be made to our neck, while the lumbar is of great extension and ideal for those of us who are usually a little leaning in the sitting position.

The back area is completely smooth except for the headboard, and covered in the same fabric as the front. The union between both sides is made by a zipper around the edge, although in principle we will not be able to open it.

Last but not least, it is a reclining backrest, thanks to a lever system installed on the backrest. The tilt range will be between 90 and 180 ^or with lock at different heights. Finally, the measurements of this backrest are 85 cm in total height and 54 cm from end to end at shoulder height.

Seat

We come to the seat part of this Corsair T3 RUSH Carbon gaming chair, which is finished with the same soft fabric used in the backrest. In this case, the foam is considerably hard, with a density of 55 kg / m ^3, which ensures high durability and capacity for heavy people.

We continue with the bucket style design, in which we have ears again quite thick and pronounced in the front. These will hold our legs very well, although it will surely make a somewhat narrow seat for people with large measurements. The thickness of the seat is about 10 to 12 cm as usual, and about 55 cm from the widest part from ear to ear.

In the right area we have the corresponding lever that activates the backrest tilting mechanism, and we also have the armrests, which we will now see, installed.

We go to the bottom to better see the chassis that holds this seat, which is made up of three crossbars at the base and an iron structure that completely surrounds it. As a reinforcement, we have three tensioned harnesses that will prevent sagging after time of use.

4D armrest

And we are going to finish the study of the different parts with the armrests of the Corsair T3 RUSH, which in this case will be very similar to those installed on the other models.

These armrests have the typical installation design with the possibility of placing it more or less out and also ergonomics with movement in 4 dimensions. We can raise and lower them with an external button, rotate them in 3 positions, move them forward or backward and also outward or inward. In this case they are quite well fixed and with very little slack in the movement mechanism.

The upper part is padded with a carbon fiber style rubber coating. Its measurements are 26 cm long, 10 cm wide and 2.65 cm thick, and are generally quite comfortable.

Final look and assembly of the Corsair T3 RUSH

In this Corsair T3 RUSH we have not had major problems in the assembly, since everything is perfectly explained and everything fits perfectly. In addition, all the screws, except the two that will fix the trims to the sides of the backrest, are threaded in their own holes so that the user knows perfectly what to do.

We remember that lubricating the holes before inserting the piston will guarantee that you will not hear early squeaks in this chair. For the rest, here we leave you some screenshots of the chair fully assembled and with the cushions installed. The truth is that the set is fantastic and very decorative for any environment.

Final words and conclusion about the Corsair T3 RUSH

Corsair presents a gaming chair with excellent finishes and construction, using in this case a very successful very soft fabric that will be ideal for people who live in hot environments, or who simply do not like to be glued to polyurethane. It also appears that this is cigarette resistant and flame retardant, something we have not tested.

The bucket seat is quite ergonomic, with simple lines to sit straight and with two cushions included, adaptable to being made of memory foam and velvet finish. The foam of the seat will offer good durability at 55 kg / m ³, while that of the backrest is slightly softer for better comfort.

Both the piston raising and lowering mechanism and the reclining backrest lever work perfectly. Likewise, the 4D armrests are quite comfortable and will be well attached, as will the entire chair as a whole thanks to the steel chassis in which it is held.

However we see that it will not be the most suitable for especially wide or large people, since in general it is quite compact and with very pointed ears. This will be good in the sense of being very well supported on the sides, but only in people of about 100 kg down we would say.

Along the way we have been left with details such as plastic legs instead of metal that we see as a downside to the finish of the set. The raising mechanism is of the rocker type, while the backrest can be folded up to 180o.

Finally this Corsair T3 RUSH we will have it available in three different variants in white and gray tones for a price of 279.9 euros in the Corsair official store, being the cheapest of the three models that the manufacturer has. For this reason, we understand that they are cut into some details, and this does not mean that it is not a highly recommended chair.
