The Sharkoon Skiller SGK1 comes to us in a presentation quite similar to that seen in previous brand products, we have a cardboard box with a design in which the corporate colors of the brand predominate, among which black and blue stand out. On the front we see an image of the keyboard as well as the layout it presents, this time we find a distribution of USA keys, something that should not be a problem since it will not prevent us from making good use of the keyboard at all.

In the back, all the characteristics of the keyboard are detailed, among which we find a palm rest, a high quality design with the upper part reinforced in aluminum. This time we have the unit with Kailh Brown mechanisms that are characterized by providing feedback to the user at the time the pulsation is registered, it is therefore non-linear switches although they are very smooth in operation.

Something that we miss is a window that allows us to test the buttons before going through the box, a detail that we will understand perfectly as it is a keyboard that seeks to be one of the cheapest solutions on the market and the manufacturer has made a significant effort to cost reduction.

We open the box and we find the keyboard protected by a transparent plastic bag and two pieces of foam that are responsible for accommodating it and preventing its movement until it reaches the hands of its end user.

We also found a total of 12 multimedia keys to access the most common controls in a very comfortable way. Finally we highlight the presence of the gaming mode that will prevent us from accidentally pressing the Windows key. In the back we find two folding plastic legs that allow us to slightly lift the keyboard for greater comfort of use.

We emphasize that the keyboard has a palm rest that gives us greater comfort when using it for long sessions, how bad it is part of the structure and we cannot remove it.

The Sharkoon Skiller SGK1 presents a white backlight system that we can regulate in intensity and light effects to leave it as we like, we have several light effects among which we highlight some as popular as static lighting, wave effect, breathing, sweep and others. Best of all, the lighting is controlled without the need for any special software so we can manage it in all operating systems.

Its cable has a length of 1.8 meters and at the end we find a gold-plated USB connector to improve contact and protect it from wear. The cable is not meshed but we understand that once again the tight price has not allowed it.

We have a fully designed keyboard that includes the numeric keyboard so there will be no problem for users who need to make intensive use of it. This unit mounts the Kailh Brown and after several days of use I can affirm that they work really well and have little or nothing to envy the most expensive Cherry, their operation is very smooth and precise and they do not present any type of problem.
