AMD has announced its X570 motherboards for AMD Ryzen 3000 processors and, for the moment, it looked like it was going to be the flagship, but this will not be the case since the existence of an X590 chipset has been discovered.

An AMD X590 chipset would be in preparation

Hints of another 'premium' X590 chipset have been spotted by Computerbase and it looks like it will have slight I / O improvements.

The first hints about X590 came from screenshots from the author of DRAM Calculator for Ryzen, 1usmus, who shared a teaser for one of ASUS 'ROG motherboards labeled "X590 Coming Soon. " Since then, the tweet has been removed after media posts began highlighting it. After quick work, you can see that the motherboard is indeed from the ROG Crosshair series.

A Computerbase forum member provided further evidence on the existence of the X590 chipset. Hidden deep in the BIOS files for X570 motherboards, the X590 chipset appears alongside X570. Everything clearer now.

According to some theories, the X590 chipset could offer a much larger number of PCIe 4.0 lines compared to the X570 chipset. The X570 chipset already has a much superior design to begin with, as the cost of some of the motherboards compared to their X470 predecessors has suffered a major setback, so it would be interesting if the X590 shared a similar fate or that come to market with much higher prices than current X570 motherboards.

Either way, motherboards with this new chipset are likely to come out later, and not on July 7, which is when Ryzen 3000 processors and new X570 motherboards will be available. We will keep you informed.
