Three hidden options that clean up Chrome's cache instantly

But the cache also has its cons as the space it occupies in memory and sometimes the cache affects performance. For example, if a website changes the styles of the website and you previously had the website in cache, you will not see the changes.

Other possibilities is that it gives the cache to other people is that they can see your habits, that is, know why websites you browse and when you visit them.

How do we clear the cache normally?

An option that we usually use to clear the cache in Chrome is to go to tools and give it to clear browsing data. Another quite interesting option is to use Ctrl + F5 to clear the cache. But did you know that there are 3 hidden options in Chrome to clear the cache?

In order to access these hidden options we need to open the Chrome development tools that are opened by pressing F12. With the development tools open you right click on the Update button (upper right corner) and a menu like the one in the following image will be displayed.

Normal recharge

With the normal reload the browser verifies the cached files and compares them with those of the server. If there are changes on the web, download the new files and cache them and then display the web page.

This method has a problem that is that it does not erase the old data from the cache, such as css, html, Javascript, ect…

Forced loading

With this method, the browser does not use the local browser cache and downloads all the files from the web again to show you. The problem with this is that if there are other files saved either CSS or Javascript from another web page that you visited previously, it is still cached.

Here are some key combinations that you can use to carry out this action:

Ctrl + R, Ctrl + Shift + R, or Ctrl + F5.

Empty cache and force reload

With this option you empty the cache completely and the browser re-downloads all the updated web information. This option is the most recommended because you get the complete web page without having any data stored.
