Tsmc will start mass production of chips at 10nm in late 2016
TSMC has announced to its customers that they will begin mass production of new chips manufactured using the 10nm FinFET process during the fourth quarter of 2016.
TSMC CEO Mark Liu states that the progress made by the chip maker will allow it to manufacture these new chips at 10nm FinFET throughout the fourth quarter of next year 2016 and that the first products to equip them will arrive in early 2017.
We will see if these TSMC predictions are fulfilled or they announce again a new delay in the manufacture of chips at 10nm.
