Tsmc already working on 5nm processors by 2020

TSMC is one of the most important firms in the field of processors. In addition, it is usually one of the leading firms in innovation. Something they seek to maintain for 2020, because it is expected that in the next year they will have the 5nm processors ready. They are already working on them and everything indicates that they will be operational next year.

TSMC is preparing a huge investment in this regard, of about $ 15 billion according to some media. So in 2020 the 5nm processors would be ready. In this way, these processors are expected to be faster than the 7nm ones. The company confirms that a huge investment is being made, so that next year they may already be operating in the market.

While in 2023 they expect to have ready the processors manufactured in 3 nm. This is the second part of the firm's roadmap. But for now we will first have to wait until they really meet the dates in the 5 nm ones.
