The Coffee Lake processors and the Z370 platform have not yet taken to the streets but Intel does not stop and is already thinking about the launch of its successor for next year 2018. We are talking about the Z390 platform that will arrive with the Cannon Lake processors during the second half of the year to succeed the impending Coffee Lake.

Intel Cannon Lake and Z390 for 2018

Intel Cannon Lake is a launch of special importance since it will mark the premiere of the manufacturing process at 10nm Tri-Gate, these processors are more anticipated than the May water since they already have several delays behind them but they would finally arrive next year and less than a year after the arrival of the Coffee Lake.

Along with Cannon Lake the new Z390 platform will arrive despite the fact that the same LGA 1151 socket would continue to be used, it is not clear if they will be compatible with the Z370 motherboards or if we will be forced to change once again as it will happen with the Coffee Lake they are not compatible with Z270 and Z170 boards despite using the same socket.

These Intel Cannon Lake processors will be seen with the new Ryzen based on the Zen 2 architecture and that will arrive manufactured at 7 nm by Global Foundries.
