The popular and prestigious text editing application for iOS and Mac Ulysses has recently received a major update in its version for iOS that includes a redesigned user interface adapted to the screen design of the new Apple iPhone X as well as compatibility for the new Face ID feature.

Ulysses is perfected for iPhone X

Ulysses continues to be my favorite writing application for iPhone and, above all, for iPad, and despite having turned its business system around by transforming itself into a subscription service. One of the reasons is the great work done by its managers and that, once again, they show in their latest update.

Just a few days ago, less than a month after the launch of Apple's flagship, Ulysses has received a new update to its iOS version that gives it full compatibility with the iPhone X. In this sense, the Ulysses interface has been updated and adapted to the characteristics of the new terminal; Various Ulysses user interface interactions have been modified and the app now takes full advantage of the full screen layout of the iPhone X's OLED screen.

Beyond the iPhone X's display-induced changes, the update brings redesigned editors for introducing objects and items like images, annotations, notes, and footnotes. Along with this, the character and word counter and the automatic full screen mode have also been modified based on user feedback.

And as I have already said, Ulysses now also supports Face ID, Apple's new facial verification system, to keep your writing safe, something that until now was only possible using a code. Another novelty is the arrival of a new default theme with soft colors and bold titles that, according to the developers, is simpler, cleaner and more typographic.
