The ASUS ROG X399 Zenith Extreme aims to be ASUS 'leading offering for X399 motherboards. The socket has 4094 pins and allows you to add an AMD Ryzen Threadripper processor with 16 cores and 32 threads. Power is provided through a dual 8-pin connector configuration along with a 24-pin ATX connector. There are a total of eight DDR4 DIMM slots on the board along with a fifth DIMM.2 slot that can support up to two NVMe M.2 drives.

Expansion slots would include four PCIe 3.0 x16 slots, one PCIe 3.0 x4 slot, and a single PCIe 3.0 x1 slot.
