The PC and Laptop manufacturers sector is dominated by the same brands, Lenovo, Asus, HP, Apple... and many others that we saw 5 years ago see that their purchase is declining. Given this, the Japanese companies Vaio, Toshiba and Fujitsu plan to join forces to compete before the big PC manufacturers.

Vaio, the personal computer maker that has stopped working with Sony since 2014, is auctioning off the latest papers for a merger agreement between its Japanese rivals Fujitsu and Toshiba. These rivals have not reaped great results in recent years in the PC sector either.

Consequences of said merger

The new company formed by these Japanese companies should be born in April 2016, since it is the month that the financial year would begin in Japan. The confirmation from Hidemi Moue, CEO of Japan Industrial Partners Inc has made these Toshiba rise 8.2% and Fujitsu 2.5%, something they are not used to.

With this business movement, they do not expect to position the top sales in the world in a short period of time. The main objective is to revive in the Japanese market and recover the sales obtained by its other rivals such as Sony or Lenovo & NEC.

Even this clarification of these companies, many media have shouted without fear that this merger could get the leadership of Japanese sales and choose the 3rd in the world, along with Apple and Microsoft, which are the rivals to beat in this market.
