The leaks continue on the new AMD Radeon RX Vega graphics cards, this time it is the code names that reveal the launch of a total of three new cards based on the most powerful architecture of the company, something that had already been rumored.

Vega XTX, Vega XT and Vega XL features

First of all we have the Vega XTX which is the same GPU mounted on the Radeon Frontier Edition and which will come with a liquid cooling system, something that already makes us think that the heat generated will be very large. The total consumption of the card will be 375W while the GPU itself consumes 300W, a lot of energy, which is why the need for liquid cooling is understood.

AMD Radeon RX Vega will have better DirectX 12 support than Polaris

Secondly, we have the Vega XT that is based on the same GPU but with lower operating frequencies to maintain consumption at 285W of which the GPU consumes 220W. This version comes with traditional air cooling.

Finally we have the Vega XL which is a reduced version of silicon with 3584 Stream Processors active compared to 4, 096 in the previous two models. This card would be sold only in versions customized by AMD partners. The consumption is also 285W in total.

The three are expected to come with 8 GB of HBM2 memory to lower costs compared to the Frontier that includes 16 GB, AMD has estimated that the games do not need such a large amount, hopefully they do not run out of memory as happened with Fiji.
