Whatsapp will allow to silence user states

The states on WhatsApp have been around for a while, although they do not have the popularity that the company expected. For many they are somewhat annoying, so they come now with a function that will be introduced shortly in the popular application. It is going to give the possibility of silencing states in it. It will allow us not to have to see the states of users that we have in contacts.

The feature is currently in development, so we will have to wait a few months until it becomes official. The idea is that from the WhatsApp settings we will be able to silence the states of people with whom we hardly have contact. A way to stop seeing a state that for us is not really interesting. That's the idea.

It is a function very similar to one that has been on Instagram or Facebook for months. So it is not that it is something new on the part of the company, but that they adapt its use to the messaging application in this case. It's the difference.

We will be attentive to the dates that are handled in WhatsApp for the introduction of it. Since it could be something that takes a few months, but that we can at least see is already underway. It seems that the iOS version will have access to this function in the app first.
