Table of contents:
Windows 10 Build 14977 has leaked online and we can learn about some of its most important news, before it reaches the Insider program next week.
Windows 10 Build 14977: All What's New
This Build already belongs to the Creators Update and has some interesting news regarding the system's user interface to make it more productive.
Post-installation: Now the whole post-installation process of the system can be done by voice thanks to the Cortana assistant.
Start menu: We have two major changes to the start menu, the first is the possibility of grouping Tiles into folders, something that already existed in Windows Phone 8.1, now that feature reaches the desktop system.
The other novelty is the inclusion of an icon in the shape of a teacup, which does not take any action at the moment. Microsoft may add a feature later with this icon.
Sharing: We now have a new way to share content from Explorer, Microsoft Edge or another application. It replaces the right side frame and instead we have a smaller frame that appears in the center of the screen, more comfortable and less bulky.
Configuration: Now in the section of configurations a new section of Apps was added, in a reorganization of sections, there are no news within the section.
Devices: The page that we found in Configuration / System / Devices has been completely redesigned. With the new interface, we can change the screen resolution without switching between different screens, and we also find a menu to change the scaling settings instead of the old slider.
Windows Update: Microsoft added a new option that allows us to pause updates for up to 35 days
Windows Defender: In several changes, in the section "Network and firewall protection", we can now change the firewall settings, being able to block incoming connections depending on whether we are on a public or private network.
Microsoft Edge: From this Build, we can "Set tabs aside. " The idea is that when we have many tabs open, we can save selected tabs that are saved in a drawer for later viewing.
Next week it will be available on the Insider program.
