Windows may start to show ads in your applications
Currently there are already ads in Windows 10, although all of them are designed to enhance the use of Office 365 by users. They usually appear in the lower right corner of the mail application. But it is an own product and it is an advertisement that goes unnoticed.
Windows bets on advertising
But it seems that in this case the ads they would be thinking of using would be different from the Office 365 one that appears in the mail application. What is not known is the exact type. If it will be advertisements of any type of product or service, or if they will be something related to the company. So the email application could end up being similar to Gmail in this regard.
At the moment, it is a company recommendation for Windows 10. So it is not something that is confirmed to happen. It could happen, but it is not something that is concrete, but rather a possible idea. So we will have to be vigilant about it.
Without a doubt, it would be a major change if there were Windows applications that make use of advertising. Especially if it is advertising that is annoying to users. So we will have to wait for any reaction from the company.
