We haven't seen much action on the LGA 3647 platform aimed at enthusiasts since the launch of Intel's Xeon W-3175X. The processor remains the only HEDT offering on the platform based on the C621 chipset, but that could soon change with the arrival of new Xeon-W chips.
A new Intel Xeon-W for LGA 3647 would be in preparation
Details of a new Intel processor have appeared in Sisoftware Sandra's database. The unnamed processor appears as part of the Intel Core i3 / i5 / i7 family, indicating that it is not a standard Xeon-W processor. Note that Intel has not released any Xeon-W 26 core models in its recently launched Cascade Lake-W product line. However, by mere deduction, this new chip uses an LGA 3647 socket, which comes with 26 cores, 52 threads.

Regarding the specifications, we are talking about a 26-core, 52-wire processor and a clock speed of up to 4.1 GHz. This is the maximum frequency reported by the software. The Xeon W-3175X has a maximum turbo frequency listed at 3.8 GHz, but the benchmark shows up to 4.4 GHz for the high-end chip. In addition to the frequency, the processor also has 35.75 MB of L3 cache and 26 MB of L2 cache.
This was tested on an ASUS ROG Dominus Extreme board, which is ASUS 'flagship design based on the C621 chipset. There aren't many motherboards for C621 enthusiasts, as ASUS and Gigabyte (AORUS) are the only ones that have products for sale.
While Core-X chips target the LGA 2066 (X299) socket, Intel may introduce 26-core W processors as a cheaper option for users building HEDT PCs for the LGA 3647 platform. Intel may also introduce Simultaneously a price cut on their Xeon W-3175X processor if they want to regain the HEDT throne from AMD's Ryzen Threadripper line of processors.
